Hallelujah! Three guess what that means.
Yes, the kiddies have returned from SE Asia---at least a week early. True, they had to endure a 30 hour stand-by flight from Gehenna but they're back. When Aaron called this morning I could tell how anxious he was to see the large dog and incontinent pup. I could just tell.
Oh, and of course I'll also be happy to see the kids.
It's a beautiful day!

It took me about six months to really figure out what I was doing. The more I wrote, the better it got.

Lucy I know you are overjoyed that the kids will be picking up the doggies any day now. We are keeping daughter's pup for this week while they are out West in California for their children's spring break. Bella is a small fuzzy dog ( a Havanese). She is well trained so not much trouble. She has ME TRAINED to throw her squeak toys down the hall so she can go running and sliding to fetch.

Yes, I'm excited about the doggies going home. But I must confess I've enjoyed them---no matter how much mileage I got out of writing to the contrary. Carole and Jack are avid animal lovers and now I'm learning how entertaining these critter pets can be...though I must confess I don't volunteer for any custodial or sanitary doody. My learning curve has its limits!

I would be happy too.
I have 4 of my grandkids; yesterday and today, because their parents got "stuck" in the Bahamas yesterday due to a mechanical problem with their plane. (A likely story...LOL) They will get the children tonight at dinner time, bu which time I will be a basket case. HA.

I can take my daughter's cat anytime, he just sits in his travel box most of the time and is really a sweetie. But I don't think I could take a dog!
When my neighbours see me going out with my camera round my neck, they often ask what I am up to, and I'm fond of saying that I get my camera out, just as they get their dog out. What I don't say, is that I never have to give it a bath or clean up after it ;)))
This is giving me an idea for a post ;)))

Take it from me a Westie or a Cairn (which is the same thing, but not white) would be perfect for you.
My daughter-in-law is so fussy about her Golden Retriever that ever since I offered to take care of it and mentioned having a doggie outdoor run, she has refused my offer. Guess, I would be a better doggie Nana, if I let the animal spend the whole day in the house. Which honestly, I would do if I were given a second chance.

OH....a Westie would be just perfect for you! They're so sweet. Had to tell ya...met a woman at the vet office yesterday and she sounded just like you...lol Came over to talk to my dog, Holly, and told me her son got her a dog 7 yr. ago because "he thought I was lonely." She was so funny! Acted like it was such an inconvenience...and it was obvious she was a huge dog lover! So get yourself a doggie!

A month ago a bedraggled Westie showed up at our door. Sam, the Incontinent Pup had been farmed out to somebody who owed Jack and Carole big-time for pet-sitting. Jackthedog (the large one)was still in our house. I couldn't believe that Carole took the little Westie in. Take that back. I wasn't surprised when Carole....
Anyway, the dog had no collar or tags but she was oviously well cared for and social adjusted. After Carole bathed and dried her the little dog jumped in my lap. I didn't know what to do. Even Sam the Incontinent Pup had sensed my "Nice Doggie"...pat-pat-pat...now go play" attitude.
However this little girl just crept next to me as close as she could get and sat, shaking, quiet as a mouse. Well, I'm not made of stone!
Carole made a real effort to find the owner---and she did. Darn it.
But it was the right thing to do even though I'd become very attached to "Bonnie Lou" as I'd named her.
So that's the story. And I don't imagine I'll settle for anything but a Westie. I know she's out there somewhere...
